The Borg story
Built by a family, for the shops that keep trucks rolling
Borg Equipment & Supply has been family-owned since 1962. What began in the Falkenborg family home in La Crescenta grew step by step, from La Crescenta to Montrose, then Sunland, and finally to Tujunga, where our headquarters stands today.
Along the way we added branches in San Diego and Sacramento, so tire shops across California could reach us close to home. Founded by Don and Marie Falkenborg and carried forward under Lynn's stewardship, we have stayed practical and hands-on.
No corporate runaround. Just real people who know tire-shop supplies, answer the phone, and help you get the right part the first time.

Borg Equipment - A Family Affair
Back in 1998, the Southern California Tire, Automotive & Retread Services Association featured Borg and the Falkenborg family for the way they run the business and support the trade.
Long-time supporters of the association, Borg has sponsored tournaments and hosted chapter meetings over the years. Same hands-on family, decades later.
Our people
The family behind Borg
Grandpa and Grandma founded Borg Equipment and Supply, it was a family affair. They had the grandkids count and bag valve stems in the warehouse - and when they did enough "work" for the day, they would take them to Disneyland.
Uncle Bill took over for Grandpa, and Grandma continued to work at Borg well into her 80's, helping with the bookkeeping - she had a camper put on the parking lot so she could take naps when she got too tired.
After Bill passed in 2016, Lynn Winterrowd, daughter of Don & Marie took the helm, alongside her husband and long-time employee Dan Winterrowd.
