String-Type inserts can be used in passenger or truck, radial, or bias-ply tires.

Made of a butyl rubber, these inserts are very strong, allowing easy insertion through steel belted radial tires. String-Type inserts are TEMPORARY repairs, sealing by compression only. Use a passenger length end-slot needle for installation.

The 31 Inc. 12-361 is a pack of 50 fat brown X-tra Seal string inserts, 4 inches long, for passenger or truck, radial or bias-ply tires. Made of strong butyl rubber, these string plugs push easily through steel belted radials and fill the injury, sealing by compression only. They are temporary repairs: install with a passenger length end-slot needle, and 31 Inc. does not recommend repairing a tire on the wheel.
