About this part

The 12894-CW is the Gaither Beadkeeper in its coated, extra wide opening version, made for wheels with larger flanges. It locks onto the wheel flange and holds the tire bead in place while you work the rest of the tire onto the wheel. A heavy duty plastic cover protects aluminum wheels during the tire mounting process. Borg's listing also carries it as KT31712.
