By increasing end-taper of the handle the hammer head cannot come off the end of the handle No slits in the top of the handle minimizes the effect of Humidity/Climate (expansion & contraction) on the handle.

The T11E is a Ken-Tool duck billed bead breaking wedge, a 30 inch tire hammer sold with head and handle. A larger contact area and more end taper give a tighter fit of the head on the handle, and the handle has no slits in the top to limit the effect of humidity and climate. The replacement handle is the T11EH.
